Even after 250 years, the art of skeletonization remains one of the luxury watch industry’s most coveted complications and this Chronoswiss SkelTec Limited Edition watch heralds the future of skeletonization with a modern and mechanical matte-sandblasted movement centre stage. The bare-all horological striptease of a dial is dressed in a stealthy galvanic black matte finish with two large central hands for hours and minutes contrasting in red. The hands themselves are skeletonised, lacquered and deliver exceptional legibility with Superluminova inlays. The radically progressive design of the dial also applies to the case with organic free flowing forms and sculptural curves.

The case of the Chronoswiss SkelTec Limited Edition watch  measures to 45mm and is engineered from a total of 51 parts including a 50 metre water resistant screw down case back with satin finish and sapphire crystal, a polished and knurled bezel, curved double coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal on the top and a classic onion-shaped crown. The case is crafted from stainless steel treated with a black DLC coating and a sand-blasted matte finish. Housed within the Chronoswiss limited edition watch is one of the Swiss watch manufacturer’s in-house movements, the manufacture calibre C.304. The manual winding movement opts for a power reserve of 48 hours, a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and 21 jewels, some of which can be spotted through the exhibition case back alongside the open balance wheel and skeletonised spring barrel. To secure the Chronoswiss SkelTec to the wrist, a two-toned textile and calfskin leather strap is added with a black PVD coated folding buckle.
