With the theme of the mysterious environment and wonders of night diving, three modern re-interpretations of the 1965, 1968 and 1970 Seiko diver's watches will join The Black Series of the line in 2022 with limited production quantities, they are equipped with Caliber 6R35 which is able to deliver a power reserve of 70 hours.
The whole series is equipped with a matt black case that represents the darkness and silence of the deep sea at night, and the orange highlight colour is inspired by the torch lights that illuminate the darkness by divers while hunting down the unknown world.
The SPB255 is a Modern Re-interpretation of the "1968 300M Diver's Watch", the original model was released in 1968 with a groundbreaking 300m water resistance level and a 10-beat automatic movement. While retaining the sharp and powerful design of the original model, it offers comfort and fits on the wrist by adopting a smaller case size of 42mm, fans usually refer to it as the "Baby Marinemaster" or "MM200". This is playing tribute to the 1968 original model whilst equipping with the latest Seiko technology.
